To play as Super Sonic you must get all the Gold Emblems in Mission
mode. Then, a Chaos Emerald will be selectable as one of Sonic's
Extreme Gears. Choose it, and Super Sonic will appear. Super Sonic
goes ridiculously fast, and has all three types (Speed, Power,
Flight). However, he has some disadvantages. For example, you
will lose rings rather than air. This means that sharp turns and
boosting/attacking will make you lose rings. Once you have lost
all your rings, you will revert back to normal Sonic. To change
back, simply acquire one or more rings.
Zack Rychel.
Complete 100 races to unlock E-10000G. Alternately, accumulate

Random character selection:
Press R at the character selection screen.
Hint: Defeating Babylonian God (Genie):
To defeat this giant, play as Sonic. He has three lives.
To catch him, get a good head start. He is very quick. Do not
make a mistake or it will take awhile to catch up. When you start,
you must catch up to him using the turbulence streams and the
grind rails. It helps to make quick work of him. Also, use the
ramps and try to make the most tricks you can, but do not take
any unnecessary risks. After you start getting close to him, use
your boost to go through the lamp-like object below him, and he
will let out a cry. Then the stage will look like a digital place
for a period of time. After it returns to normal, repeat the process.
After the third strike you deliver, it will quickly turn into
a race. If you are near the finish line, use the turbulence and
your boosts at any costs. When you win you will see an intermission
sequence showing what the legendary treasure really is.
kgates93.
Hint: Babylon Garden: Shortcut:
Go past the first ramp and first turn. You will see
boosters. Ride into one and you will see a small ramp. Make sure
your jump is at maximum without slowing down, and hold the Analog-stick
Up. If done correctly, you will ride the turbulence that will
shortly be created by a jet.
kgates93.
Another shortcut is near the end of the track. When you see the
end of the turbulence created by the jet, you will see a ramp.
Go forward and make your jump maximum without slowing down, and
hold the Analog-stick Up. If done correctly, you will cut
half of the automated trail and reach the top faster.
kgates93.
Hint: Babylon Gardens: 100 rings:
In Babylon Gardens, flying objects smash into the track
near the end of the course near a jump. Charging your jump as
much as you can, go off the jump at the correct angle or location
in a straight line and get 100 rings. Note: This is easier to
accomplish with a flying type character.
idbigdog.
Hint: Dark Desert mission 4:
Make sure to trick off the three drop-offs. When you
get to the weird part, take the Speed route instead of the Flight
route. There are three jumps on this one instead of two.
Dan5121.
Hint: Egg Factory: Avoid losing speed:
Instead of losing speed when hitting the lava, boost
through it to keep your velocity.
SONICXsonic555.
Hint: Egg Factory: 100 rings:
Go past the part where you are blown into the air by
a vent. You should see a machine with spinning cocoon-like objects.
Go to the inside of it, and you should see a capsule with 100
rings in it.
kgates93.
Hint: Egg Factory: Shortcut:
After the part with the falling lava, turn and look
to your right. You will see signs. One of them is crooked. Ride
into it to smash through and reveal a shortcut.
Ethan Zewde.
Hint: Green Cave: Shortcut:
Go near the end of the stage. When you see the first
ramp, get your jump to maximum height without slowing down. Make
sure you are going at maximum speed and hold the Analog-stick
Up. If done correctly, you will hit three spider webs and
cut off part of the track.
kgates93.
Get to the part where you are about to go onto the centipede thing
in Green Cave. To make the centipede get to the opening faster,
before you go on the centipede shoot off to the right. The centipede
should go down or up. Either one is good. The centipede should
go to the left, then go to the hole faster. In, White Cave follow
the steps above except go to the right.
Jonathan Rodriguez.
Play as Knuckles and go to Green Cave. When you start out, go
at a normal speed. When you approach the grind rails, slow down.
When you go around the turn you should see a power formation sign.
Smash through the blockade under the sign and you will unlock
a shortcut with a lot of dash panels which will send you to the
forks just before the centipede ride.
coopersly123.
Hint: Metal City: Shortcut:
When you first begin, get a good start. Try to get
an "Unbelievable" and you have perfected the first part.
When you get to the first ramp, try to get your jump at maximum
without slowing down, and hold the Analog-stick Up. If
done correctly, you will be on a platform in the air. Another
way to do this is go past the first ramp. As soon as you hit the
ground, ride someone's turbulence and do a jump off it. If done
correctly, you will hear a glass breaking sound and be on the
platform.
kgates93.
Hint: Metal City: No traffic:
Once you get off the short ramp and reach the fork
in between two tunnels, go to the left. There will be no traffic.
If you are going very fast this will be the best way to get through
the tunnel without hitting any cars.
Khalil Huffman.
Hint: Metal City (night): Shortcut:
When you first begin the race, go as fast as you can.
Then, get the highest jump possible without going any slower.
Also you can do one trick but it is easy to make a mistake; do
not attempt it unless you are skilled at angles. If done correctly,
you will have jumped on a platform that leads through a small
part of the stage. The Power attribute is best here, because there
are many obstacles unless you are skilled at dodging.
kgates93.
Hint: Metal City mission 1: Easy completion:
Off the first ramp, do a back flip. After you have
completed the flip, spin until you land. You will receive 10 points.
You can perform stunts again on the drop-off just before the two
tunnels. Do the same thing and you will receive 8 points. Trick
on one of the slopes on the side of the four-lane road. Finally,
on the ramp before the end, do a backflip off it. Make sure to
release A on the very edge of the ramp. If done correctly,
you will bypass the hanging part of the stage and be offered another
ramp to trick off from. Use this to get 30 points or more.
Dan5121.
Hint: Red Canyon: 100 rings:
To get 100 rings automatically, when you get to the
waterfall at the end of the stage, look to your left. You will
see a ring box that holds 100 rings that will go into your bank
and give you a level 3 Boost and Attack.
kgates93.
Hint: Red Canyon: Shortcut:
There is a good shortcut that can only be used by flying
characters. When you get to the first river stream with the waterfall
ahead, go past the speed and power signs. Then there will be a
path you can take to go forward or left. Go forward and turn left
to see a booster. Get on it and do not turn left or right. You
will then see three big looking rings (accelerators) and you will
be taken to the Ferris wheel-looking object in a short amount
of time.
kgates93.
Choose a Power character. When you get near the automated trail,
go under the waterfall. You will see a sign that has a hand pointing
to the track. Run through it. It will bring you directly to the
automated trail.
Ian.
Hint: Red Canyon mission 5: Air container:
There is a container with some air inside of it between
two barrels near the beginning.
Dan5121.
Hint: Sand Desert: Shortcut:
There is a straight shortcut that only power characters
can use. When the race starts, you will be in the desert. Go straight
ahead to the big coin-looking object and travel through it. You
will be underground and be propelled in the air at the end of
the tunnel. This is the time where you can do tricks. After you
fall, you will be in front of the next ramp. The second shortcut
is when you enter a place that looks like an ancient temple. Go
straight ahead and knock the big rocks out of your way. The last
shortcut requires perfect timing. When you go past the rocks you
will see giant stone soldiers. One of them will be discolored
(darker). Airslide into it and you will break through. Any other
statue except that can not be broken.
kgates93.
Hint: Sega Carnival: Shortcut:
When you get to the Crazy Taxi area, a green
arrow will appear at the top of the screen. Keep to the left.
You will see a sign with an arrow pointing to the right. Go behind
the sign and you will see a spinning money symbol and a green
circle on the ground. Go into the circle and a taxi will take
you through a shortcut during the race.
Gabriel Galvez.
Hint: Splash Canyon: Shortcut:
As Tails in level 2 of the Hero storyline, there is
a shortcut in a waterfall. After you make the first jump, when
you are turning around the bend there is a waterfall. If you go
through the beginning of it, you will find a fly kicker and accelerators.
SONIC28I.
Hint: World Grand Prix: Easy rings:
After the end of each of the first five tracks, you
will get a certain amount of points based on your rank in the
race. In the end of all five races, you will be able to get a
certain amount of rings:
JediJTW1994.
Bronze Emblem (30 to 39 points): 300 rings
Silver Emblem (40 to 49 points): 400 rings
Gold Emblem (50 points): 500 rings
Hint: Finding shortcuts:
Ramps almost always lead to shortcuts. To reach these
shortcuts, hold A for as long as possible (without slowing
to a complete stop), then release it at the very edge of the ramp.
Dan5121.
Hint: Leveling up:
During a race, once you collect enough rings you will
level up. The stream your character's board leaves will change
colors, and his or her attacks will become more proficient.
Dan5121.
Hint: Knuckles: Boosting:
When using Knuckles (especially on missions), you can
boost often to give yourself an edge or complete the mission on
time. Keep in mind that when you punch through objects you will
gain air. When you get hit by objects you will lose air.
Dan5121.
Hint Super Sonic: Get rings back:
If you run out of rings, fall from a ledge and you
will appear with 30 rings.
Dark Prince.
Hint: Faster boosts and stronger attacks:
Depending on what level your attacks are, they will
last for a longer time and have a paralyzing effect. At level
1, you will have a short boost and weak attacks; and no paralyzing.
At level 2, you will have a medium sized boost and stronger impact
on enemies; and short Paralysis. At level 3, you will have the
longest sized boost and a powerful paralyzing attack on your enemies.
kgates93.
Hint: Air riding:
When "air riding" (riding through the hoops
with flight characters), all you really need to do as you go off
most ramps is to move fast enough. No jumping is necessary. Pressing
X or B to boost just before you reach the ramp will
just about guarantee you getting into the air. When air riding,
just press the Analog-stick Up to move your character downward,
and Analog-stick Down to move him or her upward (like a
plane).
Dan5121.
Hint: Jumping:
When you are about to jump to a second floor that is
far in front, hold A and move the Analog-stick Up.
Then, jump just when you reach the edge of the ramp. If the second
floor far up from you, hold A and move the Analog-stick
Down. Then, jump just when you reach the edge of the ramp.
Dark Prince.
Hint: Automated trails:
To use automated trails to your advantage, wait for
when the Analog-stick spinning part begins. When you spin
it, it fills your air gauge. However if you keep spinning it beyond
that, the speed meter will go faster up to a certain point.
kgates93.
Hint: Turbulence:
To use turbulence effectively, wait for it to appear
and ride on it. After you see arrows on the side, move towards
it to gain speed and air. Also, it is an effective way to get
in position to pass and hit an opponent.
kgates93.
Hint: Trick sets:
Every character has three sets of tricks that can be
done. To see all three sets you must use the skates, boards, and
motorcycles.
kgates93.
Hint: Voice announcer:
When you play as Shadow, first perform a few tricks.
If you listen closely, you can hear the announcer say "She
has made a perfect landing!" or "She landed perfectly
and has taken advantage of the speed boost."
kgates93.
Hint: theme:
In Hero's story mode just before Jet jumps through
the window listen very carefully. You can hear the theme from
playing in the background.
Jesse Albert.
Hint: Billy Hatcher And The Giant
Egg reference:
In Sega Carnival, when you get shot out of the
cannon you will turn into a ball. With Sonic, you will turn into
a white ball with blue polka dots. This ball resembles an egg
from the game Billy Hatcher And The Giant Egg.
Jesse Albert.
Hint: Theater movies:
Complete the indicated story to unlock the corresponding
movie in the "Theater" option.
Movie 1: Complete Hero Story
Movie 2: Complete Babylon Story
Movie 3: Complete Final Story
Glitch: Wrong dialogue:
Before the Dark Desert race, there is an intermission
sequence showing Storm holding a chip-looking object. When everyone
starts to read it, Storm will say "It's about the Babylon
treasure from our ancient ancestors.", but it reads "It's
about the Babylonian treasure from our ancient ancestors."
